Our Story
We believe that we met at the beach, but can't be sure! It was either there, or at Leigh Wilson's
house in Burswood. I had just got back from India and was on 'The Dole', waiting for a job to come
along. Leigh convinced me to meet him and some friends at the beach a few times in summer which then
turned into an almost weekly event, and that is where Dan and I became friends. We also lived only 200m
from each other in Victoria Park, so lifts home after the beach, out to dinners and down to the pub for
a few drinks became more and more frequent as our friendship grew. It was always just so easy to spend
time with Dan - he was funny, considerate, crazy and kind.
We finally got together one fateful night (I wish I could make this sound less cheesy!), when the
group we were out with that night
for one reason and another went home early, that just left Dan and I. I knew he was a keeper when he
wore my high heel shoes through Northbridge after I had said 'Slow down, I cant keep up, these shoes
are hard to walk in... you try!' We had our first kiss in the gardens opposite the Belltower, and then a
few more on the walk home! Then as they say the rest is history - we started living together within weeks
and within a year we had our first holiday to Fiji and bought our apartment in Victoria Park, and have
never been happier.

About the Bride

woah nelly
Eldest daughter of Greg and Marie and sister of Taya, I grew up in Elgin which is approximately 20km
south of Bunbury in WA. My time growing up on the farm was fantastic - we had animals galore and never
a dull moment. Playing the piano took up a large part of my younger childhood, which then changed into
horseriding. I learned a lot quickly with my first horse Raffi, a feisty grey pony, then moved onto Soulman
who I competed on for a few years before finishing riding to concentrate on my TEE. Schooled at Boyanup Primary
School then Bunbury Senior High school I had a great group of friends, many of whom I still see today.
At 17 years
old I moved to Perth to Study Arts/Commerce, which I quickly decided was a dead end road, so moved into Occupational
Therapy. I had an absolute blast at uni with fantastic share houses and uni mates, punctuate by bi-annual travel to
see the family in the Middle East, or wherever we chose to holiday that season. All this all ended with 8 weeks in
India which were just amazing. It was just after this that I met Dan... and just after Dan I started working at Sir
Charles Gairdner Hospital as an OT. I've now been at 'Charlies' for nearly two and a half years, having rotated
through roles in home visiting, general medicine, the sub acute medical unit and now into Vascular and Amputees
which is a great new challenge. Dan came into my life at a crazy new time of change and has just fit right in.
I can't wait to see what comes next ;)
About the Groom

yeh thats real good dan...
Youngest of two from Richard and Dianne. I was born and raised a Mallee boy on a property near Lascelles in North
west country vic. I stayed there until i was 12. So many fond memories of that place. I still like to go back there
every few years. You know a place is in your heart when you dream about it regularly. I went to Woomeland Primary then
moved to Hopetoun PS. After we left the farm I had a brief stint at Horsham 298.
We arived at Perth in 1985, so many years ago. We only knew the Werjutina's back then and it was slow process getting
setup again with friends. We bought our first computer, an Amiga 500 so that kept myself and dad busy and was wher i formed
my passion for computers and all things related.
We returned to Horsham in 1989 and thats were i finally laid my hat. I meet a stack of great friends like Bronson, Evo, Chris
Cam, Tim, Mitch, Glen, Pulsy and woggsie. Evo and Bronson are 2 groomsmen in the wedding. I grew up in Horsham, thats were I
defined my life. Very fond memories. I started my Com Science degree in Swinburne Uni. after which i moved to Perth with Melissa.
we lived here for several years and thats when i started Cube7.
In Perth I meet Gavin Muthukumaraswamy, to this the Muthu's have remained a close part of my life. I worked at Cube7 for many
before finally selling the business. Simon and myself stuck it out to the end, we are both very proud of what we did. Its around this
time that Leigh introduced me to Nel. From then on we have lived at each other houses and touched each others hearts. It was a
struggle for us to drop our single habits but we got there.
and now we are getting married, my life long dream with the girl of my dreams.
